T201803 – Regulating gene therapy by recruitment of autoimmune antibodies

Scientific leader
Pr. Guy Gorochov

Autoimmune diseases represent a significant cost in terms of public health and treatments including steroids and immunosuppressants are (i) extremely deleterious for the comfort of life of patients, and (ii) toxic in the long term. Many autoimmune diseases are caused by aggressive autoimmune antibodies. As part of this program, we propose to “flip” the aggressive antibodies into therapeutic antibodies, by grafting these on immune regulatory cells.
